I've never used it myself. But... order it and let us know how it works.
I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.
I used it on my 95 sunfire, seemed to drop the temps a bit.

get it at autozone or advance auto parts, for the same price so you dont have to pay for shipping
I need a new sig =(
i've used hypercool and it worked. and even royal prurple makes one they do work but you won't get your car under the thermostats temp my car runs fairly close to the 180 my stat is set at but if you have the higher stat you won't notice it so much
the view is all the same unless your the lead dog.
I have used it myself and it does work very well, but it is designed for use with water and not antifreeze. If you decide to use it make sure you use water with it and dont forget to change back to antifreeze before winter!
talkin about temps.......... what is the factory thermostat on Cavi's and is there an1 that sells a colder one?

195 is the stock stat any auto parts store sells them but it it wont do you any good unless you reprogram your ecu to that stat cuz the ecu will not be able to let coolant in at the lower setting whether it be 180 or even 160. im sure theres other ways around it. good luck
they work better with straight water than with coolant... but its designed to work with both.
works a small bit, but more than likely, you arent gonna see much on the temp guage...
stock therms are 180... the temp may sit at around 195, but at speed the temp will sit at 180 which is close to where the thermostat opens...
with coolant it keeps the temps closer to normal alot longer
ie..... like sitting in traffic
also the coolant seams to last alot longer with it
i have it in my 68 elcamino , and i got about 5-6 years with the green coolant , before it seamed to break down
i use it with my 2200. straight water and the wetter and the temp basically stays at 195. the fan hardly ever has to come on.and at highway speeds the temp goes to about 185.
DRIVE HARD OR DONT DRIVE AT ALL!!!
so just by replacing the thermostat to a lower temp, like the 160, wont' do me any good? (the thermostat is a mechanical part, last time i checked, and its not dependant on the ECU) correct me if i'm wrong......
so.... recaping, there is a stock 180 thermostat, it runs at 195, letsay if youre standidng still, and if you replace it with a 160, then it won't do me any good

???????????? did i get this right?.
And the water wetter will keep the engine at a lower temp, only becayse of the chemical reactions?
I hope i git this right, like i said, please correct me!!!

yup cause the comp isnt designed to run on that low...
180 should be stock for most all cars...meaning atleast 3rd gen j's
well, when i put a 180 in my stock ass 3rd gen, all i got was cold air outta my vents, im pretty sure 195 is stock on these cars, at least 2.2, you can spend $7 on water wetter, or you can use a teaspoon of dishwashing liquid, roughly 2 cents, its the same thing. not to argue with you event, because you know tons, im just saying in my experience....

you most likely got the cold air from the vents because there was a air bubble in the system still , any temp over ambient temp will be very noticeable through the vents
yeah, umm no i dont think so, i was having water pump issue so i had the coolant drained quite a few time in that period, got everything working right, still no heat, swapped in 195, bam, warm air. maybe my car was just crazy, but everywhere ive ever checked it says 195 stock, other than on

, ive never heard 180 stock
I thought OE was 195 degrees it was fully open.
Maybe it starts to open a little at 185, but isn't fully open.
My Car
both stats are stock the 180 one was used on the early 3rd gen and the 195 on later 3rd gens my car ran at 195 all the time i added the stuff now it runs close to 180 which is a visable difference on the gauge
i think the 180 is stock to 99 and after that they went to the 195 i am not a 100% sure on the year tho
my car still has nice heat in the winter and my fan never kicks in only prob i have is during the winter on real cold days( like in the 20s or below) my car won't warm up sitting i have to drive for almost 8 min b4 it starts to warm up (and i only have a 10 min trip to work which makes a cold ride)
the view is all the same unless your the lead dog.
so pretty much this stuff is for those of us that are down south, and don't see snow..........
i don't supose this stuff would freeze your radiator, as if someone was to only use water, since it works better w/o antifreeze... at leat as mentioned before?

if the temp get cold enough it will in our cars running no antifreeze isn't a huge gain with this stuff your car should run 195 if you have the 180 stat you should be able to see that with anti freeze still in and you won't get your car to consistantly run lower then 180 since the stat will shut
the view is all the same unless your the lead dog.

Red Line Water Wetter

will this help in anyway at all and is it worth the 7 dollars. thanks!
I sell it in my store and from the feedback I receive, it is not a miracle worker. Used with anti-freeze, it may get you to the temp that straight water would be. Water Wetter, Purple Ice and any of the other coolant additives work best with straight water.
That being said, in a street car with anti-freeze you may drop anywhere from 3-5 degrees in coolant temp. If you are regularly overheating, do not expect this to be a cure all for you. In my years, most people need more capacity and/or a better fan(s).
