Exhaust Parts Cheap(stainless)

Hey guys I was looking around ebay and found a ebay store that sells some stuff pretty cheaply. You can get a 5' piece of stainles tubing 2.5" dia. for like $36 and 3" dia for like
$39.... Just a heads up to you guys looking to build a custome exhaust. They also have a huge selection of other exhaust needs that look pretty reasonable some even offer free shipping.

i understand it would be cheaper doin a custom exhaust system. if i go to an exhaust shop and bring them my muffler, exhaust piping, and a converter, for them to weld for them to bend the piping. if i intend to buy the exhaust piping from

how much should i buy? i have a 99Z 2.4L, would 5 ft be enough or more? also i excluded a resonator because the one exhaust shop i know might not have piping with resonator, they just weld and bend pipes. would it be under my best interest to buy a resonator as well? thanks for your input.

i do wish there was an edit button. if i do go with the idea, how would the end piece from my exhaust header connect onto the exhaust piping? welding? from my understanding it goes something like exhaust header->exhaust pipe->converter->exhaust outlet pipe->(resonator)->muffler
again thx for helping

Yeah thats the way it goes. Ummm your gonna need more than five feet thats for sure. I would probably say at least 10 feet if not 15. Then agian I always end up with extra. But when you take into account for the bends and all. Thats what I think anyway wait and see if others agree.

hmm ic. how would the end of the exhaust header connect onto the piping if i replace the entire exhaust system? or would it be a better idea to leave the existing pipe thats between the exhaust header and the converter then stick on a hi-flo cat converter and the new piping along with resonator and muffler?

Are you buying an aftermarket header? If so then it should come with more than just the header. It should come with downpipe as well. The downpipe then hooks to your exhaust. There is no reason to not replace all of the pipe between the header and the tailpipe. Replace it all and you will be much happier in the long run. Yes use a highflow cat and resinator as well.
