my dad just put a cold intake on his car, and next spring he wants to go to the track with me and my friends and race. he has a 05 automatic ecotec, and i have 98 automatic 2200. i hvave injen cold air intake, and 2.25 inch exhaust from the header back. i also have cavalier connection pully set and i want to get a header. will this be enough to beat my dad or will i need more mods. this past year at the track there was a auto ecotec there running 16.4 consistently and he has a short ram in take. i ran 17.3 with intake and exhaust. so what do i need to beat my dad
go with a stage 2 cam from JBP, Crane Rockers from howell, an Autotrans (if you have the 4spd), have your head ported, the RSM Racing pulley, MSD ignition. just read my profile and see what I have done. Then and basically only then will you be able to walk an eco.

Werd. This is needed to run with the eco. That motor definitely produces more power and responds well to tuning. Just make sure that your dad stops his modding right there. No more mods for him and the list presented here and you should be fine.
