Fuel System Failure?
Wednesday, October 05, 2005 7:16 PM
Ok guys, here is another fuel question, except it is about a bone stock one. My girlfriends car stalled out and will not restart. I noticed that when I turn the key to the acc position I cannot hear the fuel pump pressurize like I do on mine, but we have different years. I checked the fuse in the interior panel, I also tried the relay under the hood and still nothing. This makes me think the pump is bad. I haven't tested voltage at the pump, however I am getting absolutely no sound from the pump. Just want to get your valued opinions. She has a 01 2.2 by the way.

Thanks,
Rick

with the key on ACC, you should not hear it. If the key is to the ON position, then you should hear it.

One more question. What is the best way to remove the heat shielding covering the gas tank?
