i know i sort a posted this in the other thread but since i made this one and perhaps somebody like event could assist me on this dilenma. for starters i do apologize.
will it turns out that i might have to dremel the 56mm rocker arm off and put the 52mm on it to adjust it or something like what event did on his 2200? anybody know what i should do?
the 56mm rocker arm lies lower than the 52mm, like i said. i tried putting on the 56mm today and realized the 56mm rocker arm lies lower than the 52mm and it cant be a direct fit cause the stock 2.4 intake mani is in the way >:-(
again my question is if i should use the dremel idea or is there a way to take out the 56mm rocker arm, readjust it a bit to not hit the intake mani and tighten it again and wolla!?
any input and expertise is greatly appreciated. thanks in advance

what are you talking about rocker arm. i put a 2.3 56 on mine and it worked perfect. no modding or anything. i just changed the sensors over because i knew my 2200 ones worked

yellow22, i tried but the black plastic piece, the rocker arm or stoparm, cant reember the name is position differetnly from the 2.4 TB and it hits my stock intake mani. if i want it to fit i'll have to slightly leave the stoparm open, which isnt good at all. cause the butterfly will be constantly opened.

maybe a throttle body spacer will help you get some clearance

yellow22, you prolly have the HO TB, mines not, its from the ld2 i believe (94 GA), the black plastic piece (rocker arm or stoparm?) is positioned differently from the 52mm TB
and it bumps into my stock intake mani. the only way it'll fit is if i lift the arm towards me a little to fit, BUT it'll leave the plate open which isnt good at all. i was hoping if it was possible to loosen it and realign the lever to look like the 52mm tb on my car.

ok i managed to get the cruise thingy off and switched the arm from the 2.4 onto the 2.3. got no cels when i took it for a testdrive, BUT for some reason the gas pedal has no pressure or resistance b4 the swap. meaning if i punch the pedal to the floor, very easy btw, it'll go but it wont redline up to 6000rpms or greater, it'll automatically upshift around 5500rpms and it'll feel like im driving a 3 speed??? do i have a vacuum leak somewhere? the only things i did was swap the TB and the ld2 TB i used a 'T' tube to connect the 2 vacuum hoses from the 2.4 into one. i dont get it. do i need to tighten the pedal wire of some sort to put pressure back into my pedal? i want to at least upshift to 4th gear. i'll try to get pics if anyone wants to look at it, but i think theres plenty of it custom fitted already on here. thanks in advance

hey um, how did you get the rocker arm off? i cant seem to get mine off, i know the butterfly is still on it, but if its gonna come off it should move a little bit, but it doesnt. did you have to dremel the inside of the rectangle, or just shave the nipple thingy off and it just slid out? im trying to get this to work, i know 4mm will do alot on a boosted motor lol.....thanks if you can help, and i dont care if you borrow pics, i really dont give a sh!t.....

my bro and i used a dremel and shaved the little rectangul withing the larger 'washer' that is agains the black rocker arm. just shave enough of it off so the little rectangle isnt there anymore. the larger piece thats against or holding the rocker arm in is machined pressed, meaning u can try to pry it off if you got the muscles to do it. its on there pretty good, so what we did was cut a piece of it off and then used a fat flat philips to pry it off. i'll try to get some picks up later today. but going back on topic, im still having issues with the accel pedal being too loose and not redlining. is that because of the 56mm tb sitting lower than usual? should i adjust the TV cable or something to loosen it to make it reach redline later?

ok i took some pics of the cruise control partially cut off so it was made a bit more easy to get the bellcrank(black plastic part) off.

this is what it looks like w/o the bellcrank and the cruise control.

the cruise control arm disconnected and cutted partially cutted off. after removing a piece from the upper section with a dremel u can use a fat flat head screwdriver and pry it off. with this removed u can take out the LD2 bellcrank and swap the 2.4 bellcrank on.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v174/silent_assailant_t/cruisecontrolwhereitusetobe.jpg
i put the cruise control arm to let u ppl know where it was and what part to cut.
initially we shaved and cutted the little rounded rectangular piece that was holding the cruise control arm in. if u think about it, the cruise control arm is like a washer(like event mentioned).

i used a 'T' shaped hose to connect the 2 vacuum hoses together into the one availalbe area on the LD2.
also a little note. make sure that the little lever behind the bellcrank, the piece that limits what it is touching doesnt get interefered by the section on the area of the tb entering the intake mani. i found out if i dont position the TB right or if i screw too tight when i drive and floor it the piece would hit and stop at the plastic intake mani and not fully extend to hit the actual area on the LD2 tb. let me know if anyone's confsued on this part. i should of had taken pics of these but forgot to include them. overall i do like the little 'umph' midway thru the powerband, but until i get an aftermarket header and hi-flo cat i wont get much now.
