They mean Crank HP, yes.
The only person who has it on their j-body as of yet is airtronics and that's because he took it off a Redline. Yes, it's the same charger.

No one at the dealerships seem to want to give me a straight answer. It's normally that they haven't heard of the kit even existing. They always tell me to check back in a few months. Hope GM gets the kit out soon. I would love to have one under my hood, was going to go turbo, but the supercharger makes the most harmonious whine. Friend of mine has a LIngenfelter kit on his C5 and i fell in love with the sound.
