ok here is the deal. i did the full secret cam swap, both intake and exhaust cams. not at an idle it runs like complete garbage. so i put it on the scanner, and i am getting misfires in all of the cylinders. now when i give it any sort of gas the engine completely smooths out and the rough idle goes away.
so i figured i would adjust the idle air control. and found that there is a screw in there similar to a torx bit, except it has 5 points and a torx has 6. where can i find this tool to adjust it. and is there any other solution to this, maybe any other problems.
suggestions please.........

Sounds like the timing might be off by 1 tooth.

Yup... timing for sure. I did mine and it fired right back up, sounded like normal.
Intresting, I reset the timing 3 times, I guess we will be doin it again. this is the first time I have had any issues with the 2.4 timing

sounds like the timing chain is off , it happened to dave on his sunfire
i drove it , gave him a suggestion about the timing , and sure enough he was off a tooth
when i did the water pump on my motor sitting on the engine stand , it came out a tooth 1
i was glad i tripple checked it before i put it back in the car
can anybody please explain this secret cam swap too me in full detail i recently bought a 2.4L cavi (99) and am looking around for easy ways to modify it all you need is the 2 cams from the 2.3 L engine ? where can they be found and approximatly how much do they run for, also what kind of performance increase will you see from this mod thanks

Look at the last 2 or 3 pages in this forum you will see plenty of info about this. Not trying to be a smartass by telling you to search but there just way too much info on this in this forum right now for you to use

i got mine on ebay for 125
you are looking for the intake cam from a 2.3 quad 95 jbody(only produced for half the year)
then the exhuast cam from a 90-94 low output quad 4
the combination is suppose to add roughly 13hp to your car
i have a feeling the IAC went bad,,,,, i am going to check it today
