intercooler intake question

i saw in the jcwhitney sportcompact magazine an intake that goes from your engine to a front mounted intercooler looking filter. it sits in the lower grill and gets ram air. im sure no ram air will give gains since it has to go through a filter through a tube and then into your intake,

im just curious if anyone has had one. it seems kinda goofy to me, but then again my curiousity is getting the best of me. i have K&N stock filter and that suites me just fine, so im not looking to mod my car with one, like i said im just curious.

i think it would be goofy to have an intercooler looking intake without a turbo, but to the bling bling spoiler wing dingers, you never know...

I've seen those before too. Theres a guy here in town with one of those intakes on his Civic. I don't really think there is anything to be gained by doing that, besides having to constantly clean bugs out of the filter.

they are stupid. front mount cold air intakes are restrictive and over-the-top rice.

I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.
