Ecotec Knock Sensor

Anybody know where the Knock Sensor is located and what cable I should connect to the SAFC-2?

knock sensor is kinda under the intake and starter on the eco


what wire im not sure of

as you can see there only 2 wires on the sensor and it LOOKS like there just the one orange wire after the connecter, I don't remember to be honest. The connector looks kinda beefy so I wouldn't dought it was a built in translater kinda thing, liek the front 02 sensor plug. But the sesor itself is a pizolectric crystal, when you kit it it makes voltage, so I would THINK (again THINK) that you could tap the sensor and see which lines puts out the voltage and that would be your signal line. Tommy Boy My Opel Speester has a different loom that what you guys are running with so its hit and miss whether or not the color coding is the same. Wonder do I even have the same ECU? I would need to drill out the top ECU mount to remove the bar that is preventing removal of the ECU connectors in order to clarify the pin outs..... pain pain pain!

I noticed you had an Opel after i posted. Very nice car by the way. I really like the orange ones I have to admit.

All I need is a new Performance Head etc. new ECU which I can program and a Supercharger! Looking to achieve over 200BHP
