I am planning on ordering rims and tires for my 99 sunfire it currently has 195-65-15's which ride like ass, so I was thinking about 17's with a 40 series tire but my question is could I fit a 225 wide tire in those wheel wells or should I stick with 215's? Thanks alot guys.
let me change my answer a bit... I have 225 and they fit fine.... my buddy had 225's and they fit fine, then he added tien coilovers and they hit the strut because the offset of the wheel, search aroudn the wheel and tire forum (where this should be posted to begin with) and you'll find everything you need to know. also wild weasel's site has a tire size calculator to let you know the exct size you need to keep your speedo acurate
Like Darkstars said, you can fit them but I would suggest getting 215/45R17, that would be perfect (in my opinion).
