For the people that have aftermarket exaust on there 2.2 OHV. I was thinking flowmaster 40 series because thats what i had on my old eclipse and it sounded good. I dont want a poppy sound or real loud, just smooth and deep. Let me know what yours sounds like!

just because a 40 series muffler sounded good on your old eclipse dont mean it will on your 2.2 ohv. basically every car will sound different.

If you want a Flowmaster, you should either go with a 50 series delta flow or 60 series delta flow. I had a 60 series on my cavy at one point and it had a nice and quiet mellow tone to it.
My friend has a 40 or 50 series on his cav. sounds pretty quiet to me, i like it. I have borla proXS muffler, and its louder than his but i think its a little deeper in tone.
resonator does the trick too with a magnaflow setup.

i have a generic magnaflow muffler bought from checker for $60 and it sounds great, exactly what i was looking for. It is a straight through muffler but oval, not that round ugly mufflers most people get. The sound is deep and throaty but super quiet. i love it
a 40 serie deltaflow sounds just about awesome on a 2.2 sounds like a mini 350 !
even borlas boomer mufflers are really good
if your going to put a flowmaster exhaust on your car, make sure you buy the "IMPORT" muffler they offer.... i am running the flowmaster imports series muffler, its low, deep and not super loud, im looking for sumthing louder personally but its sounds really good
