Depends what you're going for as far as performance.

I mean, most people (including myself) started out with "baby steps" aka bolt ons lol.

Work on an intake, exhaust...maybe some mounts then go from there.

You can get an intake from pretty much any company that support the jbody platform. I suggest Weapon-R. You can find their intakes for good prices...go to www.definedparts.com.

Good Luck.

This is kind of an old picture but this is what it looks like now. I'm at work so I can't show you a picture of my car with the Dragon Intake System...what you're actually looking at is the intake tube from the Dragon Intake but I was testing out Secret Weapon Filter.

Actually there is an difference.

Dragon Intake is basically a generic intake...tube, filter.

A secret weapon is that BUT the tube has an inner tube and a filter (they did something different with that filter). There is actually some slight technology into it.

It's no SOO much better but slightly better. My friend who is the owner of Definedparts.com has actually tested it out on his old 2200 Cavalier at the track and there was a time difference by 1 or 2 tenths believe it or not.

sorry to bud in guys, but I was considering either the secret intake or the one from RK Sport (RK-020933211). Any preferance between those two?

Well like you said...it's all preference.

RK Sport is just a tube with an K & N filter...nothing really special. It's really up to you. If you want to give the secret weapon a try, I say go for it and you will more than likely like it. Everyone I know who has it, likes it.

No, you don't have to move anything on these intakes.

As far as intakes I would have to go with my boys at www.cosmoracing.com . I have installed these one a few cars and they sound awesome and perform great for a really low price. I would also suggest a header of some sort also. And as somebody else said motor mounts and such are nice to have but not really a whole lot of performance out of them until your car reaches higher performance levels. But its all in the eyes of the buyer.
