i posted about this before and i got a lot of yes and no responses. one of my friends has a 96 2.2 with a painted pacesetter header. will this header fit my 98 2200???

The header WAS designed to fit both heads, the ports were made larger for this reason. Call pacesetter and ask if you dont belive me.
So you have to then modify your exhaust manifold gasket also eh?

ok so i emailed pacesetter and they said that it will fit but it wont match up with downpipe to the cat. but i already have a custom down pipe so will it work?

You probably spoke to one of the orgs members, he works the customer service for Pacesetter.

How can you already have a custom downpipe made when you do not even have the header. When order my header from summit somehow I got the product number mixed up and I got the 2.2 header and the way down by the oil pan was quite a bit different and the ports are off. If you can I woul djust get the actual header for the car..

when i had the exhaust done they told me i would notice a difference unless they made a downpipe. so they made a custom down pipe too
The ports are off, have fun gasket matching it.
