Anyone know of a place that sells a gasket that will work for the Arospeed/RK sport/Weapon R 4-2-1 header? I need the gasket where the downpipe begins and there are 4 bolts, mine is toast
Go to an auto parts store and see if they will let you look thru the gaskets in the back. I worked at advance auto before and we did that all the time. Hundreds of gaskets back there, good luck.

Go buy some permatex copper gasket maker. It comes in a tube. Like $3. Loosen it up a bit, squeeze a bunch in there and fill up the tap, then tighten. Wipe off excess.

I just bought a 10" by 10" sheet of gasket material... took some thin carboard and traced out the flang on the header.... traced it on to the gasket material and cut it out... stuck it in the sink with warm water for a bit to soften it up and bolted it in.. works perfect

brandon, how long did your collector gasket hold out since the install? I've had to replace mine (paper gasket) a few times now and they never lasted more than a month before wearing out. I couldn't ever find a place that sold an exact replacement so I had to buy material and cut them out myself so something better than paper material like a metal reinforced gasket would be ideal.
Josh, sounds like I did what you did but mine just don't hold up. I just used mr gasket paper gasket material, cut em out and just some copper silicon. I can't imagine I did something much different than you.
Sorry if it seems like I'm jacking the thread but I figure and responses would be related to the original post.

It didnt last long at all, it actually came apart when I took the 2 pieces apart
Anyone have a ballpark on what a sheet of the gasket stuff will cost?
I think I left out the fact that when I used paper gasket material, they didn't last all that long so a reinforced gasket would be better. Maybe it'll only happen to me, blowing paper gaskets, but I would look for something stronger if possible, anyhow thats what I'm looking for now.
Permatex. Copper gasket maker. Tube. Done.

^^^ Agreed, that stuff works wonders. For only $5-7 per tube, its a deal and is easy to work with.
