RSM intake manifold

is this a good mod or not? I already have intake, header, full-exhaust. would this yield very noticable gains?
thanks in advance

Its is junk from what I have heared, it is mearly a stock manifold with the plenum enlarged slightly. The performance options for the ld9 manifolds are venom(very expensive) or the HO manifold which can be purchased for much less though many people have a hell of a time getting it to run properly.

so would it be a waste of time and money to get the RSM manifold? I saw a pic of the Ho mani and I don't see my AEM short ram intake working with that. why buy a manifold that I would have to buy a new intake for, any help is appreciated.

HO looks like alot of work and headaches

Provided the install was done properly and you reset your PCM... no it should run like a champ.

I am curious to see a dyno chart of the LD9 intake with the lip cut for the t/b and an HO, Both with stock t/b's. I dout you will seen any noticeable gains. The Factory intake doesnt retain heat and has good flow charactoristics; just need to remove that lip by the T/B. Dunno, a dyno comparision would be good. Dont waste you money on the RSM though.

is it not worth $120? the ho just seems to be alot of work and hassel, plus as you can tell i'm not the best when it comes to installing and creating things. any other reasons the RSM wouldn't be good?

pull your factory manifold off, take a dremil and make opening a complete cirlce, thats the RSM. Simple enough?

Port your own TB. Their upper plenum? OK... not worth it honestly.

all of RSM's products are junk.

Been screwed by them for $1200 CAD now.

Do yourself a favour - avoid RSM.

That's your opinion but it would more than likely depend on what product you are talking about and what your previous situation was with them. Just because you had a problem with them doesn't mean the next person will.

Sorry to hear you go screwed by them though...

Dont bother doin a home port job on the T/B, there is not much material there to cause a restiction. Just buy a true ported T/b that is oversized. I will be offerin them but probably not till the begining of next year. Its really up to you though. The 2.4 gets noticable gains with a t/b.

(for a side record- any post I make is not to sell anything I make, its just for knowledge. I hate when guys post "O buy this its great" just cause they sell it. I dont wnat guys gettin the wrong Idea)

You have an LS1 car. I already picture you as a fireman with a mullet, in which case I definitely wouldn't buy anything from you anyway.

j/k man. it's true. the home port on the TB doesn't give you much room for improvement

Doesn't it?? I must not have updated it in a while. Here's a pic to prove it :-)

I must admit, it wasn't the most fun project to do. It was time consuming and took a bit to get it all right, but the end result is worth it. Now that I got it all in, I decided to have it powdercoated. I should have thought about that before! Looks like it'll be coming out again :-(

hahaha I wasn't calling you a liar, just saying that it wasn't listed on your profile.

Nice Swap, good job.
