I'm new to this forum and i need some help. i have a 98 2.4 cavy and it's begin for hp. i'm trying to decide whether or not i should go with the RSM racing stage 2 vortec supercharger kit or just turbo the thing. honestly i would rather the turbo but i really don't know what to do with it. i'm doing complete internals this winter but i don't know what kind of turbo i should run? same with the manifold and intercooler ext... i've searched on the net a bit but all the kits are for like 80 hp gains. I want more. can anyone help and push me in the right direction?

thanks

Well as far as what turbo you should have...it all comes down to preference and turbo matching. Some would go with a T3 turbo, some a Mitsubishi Turbo...

What I would suggest you do is before you spend your money on a company that might be a pain to get in contact with cause they are located in Canada incase something goes wrong, look at other kits or look into building your own kit. Personally, I feel if you have gained enough turbo knowledge, you can pick out your own kit AND save money in the process.

I don't want to tell you to go one way or the other because both ways are good HP adders. I've heard the stage 2s in person and they sound like jets when they cruise past you (no lie...). If you like the feel of not having a limit to how much power you can have, go turbo.

Read up everything you can about how turbos work, how every part works, what is it's important role it plays etc etc.

If you have anymore questions, you can ask away. Good luck on your decision.

I'm partial to turbos. Anytime you have questions about turbos, feel free to stop by our site as well. Adam (NJHK) is actually a staff member on our site and posts frequently.
