ive been reading some searches and got my curious. i bought the aem alt underdrive pully, it said it was stock size, but from searches it looks like it may be a lil smaller. if its stock size why would it come with another belt? also what kinda crank pully would go well with this?

if the pulley is underdrive it isnt stock size. but i also believe that the AEM is an overdrive pulley, meaning that it is larger than stock. in both cases, i would have got RSM, the crank and alt pulleys are both stock size and the lightest on the market.

I thought UR's Crank pulley was the lightest @ 14oz.

overdrive? what effect would that have? when i bought it, the box and the website said it was a stock size underdrive pulley.

ur rite it is slighty oversized. it says itll give you more hp at the wheels. what effect will this have on my engine/gains and what kinda crack pully would be good with it?

the RSM is 12oz. and is stock size, therefore no charging issues.

Just a lil info bro, make sure u get the crank pulley before u put the AEM alt pulley on. I oredered the alt pulley, installed it, and without the crank pulley, i kept running down the battery really quick. As for the crank pulley, i have heard a lot of good things about the Unorthodox pulley combined with the AEM, thats the path im taking. Hope i helped a bit.

since you already have the AEM pulley, i would suggest getting the Unorthadox Racing pulley. that crank pulley is underdrive, and combined with the overdrive alt pulley, i believe that you can use the stock belt. the basic reason for putting these pulleys on is to lighten up the rotating mass of the engine. the less mass, your engine will rev faster and you will hit the power band quicker. i wouldnt say that the pulleys actually make your engine gain power, but apply what it has more effeciently. hope that helps

Unorthodox +AEM pulley is a good combo like stated before it uses the stock sized belt, no charging issues had mine on for a long time, though there may be some problems if your running a huge stereo system with them on.
