hmm, not really what he probably wanted to know, both pulleys (underdrive and stock sized) reduce the rotating mass of the crank enabling your engine to rev faster dont think the alternator pulleys really do much I do have one myself. Some dont really like the underdrive pulleys for some reason but I have been using one with no problems for some time, my sugestion is unorthodox crank with the AEM alternator, the combo uses the stock pulley belt.

i would suggest RSM for both pulleys, they are stock size (no charging issues) and they are the lightest that are offered. when i finishing saving to get pulleys, i will get both RSM ones. the UR crank pulley is 14oz, and the RSM is 12oz. the weight is the major issue here, so i would say go with the lightest and stock size.

this is my sig

my view...

reg stock sized pulley, just lightened....

like rsmracing has....

reason? no changes in belts, usually lighter overall, no slowing of reg accesories, so no chance for light dimming and other problems....

I had the rsm lightened pulley on my old cav. I liked it. I wouldn't have gone with an underdrive unless I had a more powerful altenator....... I hate dimming lights. and on long island winter can really f with your charging system so no reason to put more stress on it

Sorry...

from what ive heard though if i get the unorthodox underdrive pully with it i can still use the stock size belt. so would that balance it out to be the same as two stock size rsm pullys and not have any charging problems/?

an underdrive pulley is smaller than the stock size pulley so you don't run your stock size belt

but, not trying to be rude, i have the eam alt pully like i said above which is a bit bigger so it should offset the smaller underdrive crank pully so i can still use the stock belt, which is what im being told be everyone else. my question is wether or not performance wise, is it better to have that set up or two lighten stock sizes. also what will it do to make car?
