im new on the forum and i have some question, i have a 97 2.2l cavy , i have a mtx transmission and i want to swap 3400 motors in it...so the question is there this motor fit in it?
do i have to change someting?
what it cost to i do it ?
and finally what it take (piece , computer all the tings...)??

Well, phsically the engine will fit. And also, the engines mount virtually the same, atleast as far as I know. Just try and get one from a Grand Am with a 3400 in it, get the mounting system and everything. I think the biggest issue will be in the computer system. Fuel injection wiring will be a major pain.

I think the 3400 would be a worthy swap. The engine makes nice power numbers, and has a lot of torque. And it's not like it's exactly lacking in aftermarket either. Stock for stock it'll skunk and Eco in a jbody I bet.
