lighter pulley and bolt ons add how much hp?

ive been thinking about getting lighter pulleys and bolt ons (CAI, Cat Back, and Headers) but how much will that improve a 2.2 ecotech engine on a 04' cavi. is there also anything else that is a decent price that will add performance to my cavi. thanks for the tips in advance.

5 million HP....

realistically if you read the FAQ, do a search and read the 100;s of post where people ask...

"if i add this, how much HP?"

you would notice the only realistic and logical answer is to "dyno before and then dyno after and then you will have your answer"

any other method is just guessing and BS. every car is different.

its like me asking you, if you do 100 pushups a day for a week, how many lbs will be increased on your max bench press at the gym?

theres really no way of knowing without testing before and then after right?....right.

according to the chevy hi performance article on a 03 cav build up 15 hp at the wheels for rk's intake (cold air) rk's magnaflow exhaust and 4-2-1 header. so thats probably a reasonable guess

and yes they dynoed b4 and after also i recomend motor mounts the bottom one is 50bux from carcustoms shipped the top is like 130 if i remember. there are many other parts available just read the sticky about ecotec build lists or whatever. i bench press 250million tons

true, but with magazines, you gotta wonder what were the conditions like, A/C indoor, or outdoors? like said every car is different. just cause one car does this, doesnt mean another car will do the same.

its been shown on here than many cars buy the same exact parts, same engine, same everything and dyno results can vary by as much as 10whp....

theres a even a post from a long time ago, a guy added 2000$ in mods and still ran 16.1....

hell one person supercharged and ecotec and ran slower than he did in stock form.... tuning issues... but it was very frustrating for him for a looooong time.

only one real way to know.

ehh...just learned a long time ago...guessing and bench racing...more or less, sucks...

always lets you down in the end. i'm just one who;d rather be more accurate than anything else.

i totally agree with you taking it to the track is the only way to realy know. however that is still a good ballpark estimate from a somewhat reliable source
