i dont think this is really performance related but i thought it was the best option...does the old 2.3 idi cover fit our 2.4...i donno i just kinda liked the old cover for some reason

well..the 2.4 cover fit my 2.3 so im gonna say yes

Yes, there are quite a few different covers.
I had a hell of a time finding the one on my engine, take a look at my profile. There are quite a few out there.
I know there are a few that just say 16VQUAD4DOHC
Some say like mine say HIGH OUTPUT being in the middle
some say W41 for the w41 engine of course.
But yeah as far as I know the 2.3's IDI cover fits.
the cover's will fit, you may have to transfer the coilpack from the back though, but its something like 7 screws/bolts, very easy to do, a nice visual upgrade thats for sure

No. The Quad 4 had 4 different versions.
Quad 4 SOHC
Quad 4 DOHC (the 1995 cavalier Z24)
Quad 4 DOHC High Output
Quad 4 DOHC High Output W41 (the w41 was an HO with a longer duration cam, same lift, and PCM differences)

ok if i do swap them over i was thinking of getting the copper coils from RK i bealive ...have any of you done this and found it to be worth the $ or no?..also are there better places to order them?
