What are the "best" plugs for the 03 cavalier?

For all motor running bolt ons...stock plugs or possibly Iridiums but of course the word "best" shouldn't be put into play here.

Ok. So its safe to safe that stockers are actually great for my car unless I was boosting or feeding a bottle to the ecotec?

Thats great news.

...better than safe. actually runs better (at least with my ohv). I switched to the ac delco plats (was running bosch plat 4), and it runs much better. better mileage as well.

Leave them stock until you have a need to replace them or they go bad. All tho plugs are normally cheap enough to not really matter. You may see a milage increase with different plugs but, no power.

i usually run a new set of stockers every season. i had cryo treated denso pro platinums (48.00@set) in my turbo daytona, and broke one when pulling them out to inspect them. so i put the champ plats back in , and had almost a# more boost. the master tech said the denso's were too cold heat-range wise. he also said....this is the important part....those plugs were engineered for THAT CAR--spark output AND heat-range wise! you wanna make 'em better (the stock ones) cryo treat 'em. dont pay more than 10 bucks tho...

NGK Iridium, 30 bucks for Iridium, top of the line spark plugs. When I took out my stock, they looked like crap compared to the Iridium. Stock work well though, Iridium will just save a lil more gas and make your idle a lil smoother, or at least that's what I experienced.

my .02 says that gm should stamp "acdelco plugs only" on the valve cover. go with stock plugs until higher compression / forced induction when you need colder plugs.

when i added my intake and exhaust with the stock plugs i started running rich. i changed to the ngk iridium and stoped running rich. if ur still running bone stock than just leave ur plugs stock. if u do any upgrades than i would upgrade the plugs along with your other mods

i went from Stock to Bosch +4(worst plugs i have tried) went back to stock worked great then went o the plugs the use for the GM supercharger which is one step colder because my stock ones looked like it was hot. one with the GM supercharger are AC delco and work great. But stock is best for most bolt on applications. And spark plugs really do not create more horse power. May run more efficiently but HP nah.
