Would a stock 2.4 t/b that is bored out to 59mm fit an HO manifold in my 97 2.4? I'm still debating whether or not to buy a ho or not. Just need a few opinons about the install difficulty and any problems i may run into, thanks in advance for all your help, you guys on the org are great

yea the bored 2.4l throttle body will fit on it fine it needs a litlle modifacation though the screw holes need to be drilled out and you need a couple bolts to put it on and you need the 2.3l throttlebody gasket

^^ Yeah I was gonna say, by 2.4 TB bolts are too small for my HO mani bolt holes. Do I just have to find bolts that will fit both the TB and HO mani?

I just put a HO mani and 2.4 tb on my z 2 days ago. I just drilled the 2 tb holes big enough to fit a M8 x 1.25 bolt, I think they are 40mm long. worked like a charm. I had a bit of trouble with the HO flange adapter and gaskets, but now that it's all buttoned up I love it. Good luck.

pryofreek, could you shoot me an e-mail with a list of parts you needed for the install and kinda how you went about it. i'm looking at buying one and installing it shortly so any help or instructions would be great

Did you re-tap the holes in the 2.4 TB to make the M8 X 1.25 bolts fit? Souns like you just drilled the holes out and left it at that lol.

^^ Yup, I have that bookmarked as well. But it doesnt say anything on quad4forums about using the 2.4 TB with the intake, it just says something about the 2.4 sensors..

thats what i did and it worked out fine i never retapped them and havent had any problems with it yet knock on wood

just curious as too what intake you guys used for your ho or lo mani swap. I know my aem short ram won't work but just wondered what you guys did

a lot of people cut their own intakes up and use them as that.

I reused the stock 2.3 rubber elbow. aimed downwards and put a high flow filter on it. works just fine for me.

i cut apart an intake from ebay for my ho intake and just got an elbow rubber tube work great
