I'll be graduating college in May and want a new car....maybe. I was looking at a 2006 Cobalt SS supercharged. But for the $20k it costs new and at only 205 hp, would it be a better idea to do an engine swap?
I had invisioned the 3800 series supercharged engines that they use in the GTp Grand Prix's. Then along with that adding a turbo as well. What do you think? Would it be better to search around for a new car or put a new engine in the car I have. I have about $3k+ in my car now with the alarm, sound system, remote start, and rims and that kind of stuff.

Peformnace wise I only have a WAI and new cat and muffler. If I were wanting to Spend about 20 grand, what would you suggest I do. Put a new engine in my car and turbo it and that. Then have money left over to do other stuff. Or look for a newer car. Even though I have roughly $3k of extras in/on my car now.
If you are going to spend 20 grand... sell your car, and buy a fox body mustang. You can rebuild the motor completely, and do a twin or single turbo project on it and still have 10 grand left over.
