So my friend and I hook up a switch and mess around with some wires. We got on the highway with me in my cavy and him in his cobalt SS and my car got up to 140mph. I slowed down after that but i hear that transmission can make it up to 148mph..not sure if it will or not..My car was at almost 5000rpm at 140 so i dunno how much faster it can go. Does anyone know how much faster 2.2 ecotecs will go??

well even though this thread will be locked shortly, the stock gears on an eco are good for 152 mph. and you will kill yerself going that fast in a cav so plz. don't do it again. the suspension is not designed for excessive speeds. the governor is set at 108 mph for a reason ya know!

I don't see why it'll be locked. He's not asking how to disable the governor. If this gets locked why doesn't every other thread in Jbody versus get locked?
Either way, you will not trap anywhere close to 150 and still have the car be streetable.

Hey it was just a simple question the reason the switch was put on anyways wasnt for the speed..We had put it on to be able to drive with just parking lights on cause the speedometer sits a 0 and i can pull the ebrake up one click and turn my parking lights on. I already wrecked once in it..so no more 140

no the ebrake was up at 140...i hope u werent being serious about that question.. the dumbest person in the world would know better to do that..Its only up one click to drive under 80 so i can drive with just the parking lights on.
