VPW Scantool (Scantool.net)

I'm doing this post for Alberto (Viper) since he is currently busy taking care of other stuff.

(Even though this is sort of crossposting, Dave approved it as long as it wasn't identical to the one in boost.)

Anyway, the GP is up for the VPW Scantool for Scantool.net in the gp forum. This is a good tool if you want to read what your computer is doing when the car is running and also if you want to clear CEL's.

Check it out!

hmmm....i thought more people would be interested in this in the performance forum, seeing as you can check your o2 sensors and IAT temps, timing advance, etc.

theres more to just putting on more parts!

Yes people this is a very nice product. I just recently got the step up ELM5. There is many programs you can use with these, and lots of good info to be gotten. It is nice to slap parts on and go, but there is a point when more info is needed. With this you can read info and see if that part is really making a difference. You can play with small things like a CAI and WAI and read the intake temps and see where they are before and after. Datalogg that info. I recommend it.

I just got mine today (missed on the G.P.).

Hooked it up and worked great.

I was even able to use my GM cable in my moms Izuzu Rodeo. Unfortantly the battery died in my laptop from me being on the internet and running it in my car for about 1/2 hour . But it read 2 codes on her car. Intake sens. and po113 i think.
