I just bought a centerforce dual friction clutch from a local performance shop. I've been looking at the same ones on-line and all of them have little weights on the pressure plate fingers, while the one i bought doesn't have them. Just wondering if anybody has bought one of these and if it came with the weights or not. Also i want to know how much of a difference they make performance wise and if it will last longer then just a basic stock clutch.

be sure to have the flywheel resurface and don't sleep on the clutch otherwise you'll get trought in under 15000miles.
You NEED TO DO THE BREAK IN PERIOD. No less than 600miles.
Then well don't let it slip all the time and you'll be fine. If you race and go for a few run and not letting it cool down, you'll see after 3-4 runs that it grabs a bit less when shifting but normal driving is fine. Racing is fine as long as you don't race all dya long without letting it cool down.

Yea I'm getting my flywheel turned right away for sure. I dont intend on racing all day although this summer im entering in some of the drag races around here. But if u bought this clutch did it come with the weights on the pressure plate?

those little blocks or 'weights' on the pressure plate if you notice are kind of interlocked into the clutch fingers. I diddn't design the thing but I think those are there to give the fingers some added stability
I had a centerforce dual friction on my mustang and I loved it. it actually had a lighter pedal and a much more gradual pedal feel than my stock one and it took all the beating I gave it.
but then again that was a 10.5in clutch on a 5.0 so the cavi might be different
I had one on my Gtz and I'm buying another one. The pedal was a bit softer than stock but it never slip.
But honestly if you look at the pressure plate(on my Gtz), it had the Daiken (sp) logo on it like if it was a stock plate with "stronger" springs.

..and before people start saying that clutch is bs, ill go ahead and say i love mine. granted, im not putting down awesome numbers (i have a 2.2ohv with boltons...though just about every bolt on, lol), but i properly broke it in. no slippage.
...don't hate!.. respect people that have talent, even if it is in something you don't like or understand.
I think for the clutch it depends on what stage you bought. the weights on the fingers are there to increase the clamping force. I believe that as the stage of clutch gets higher so do the size of the weights. im guessing that you bought a stage one clutch and that could explain why there arent any extra weights.
Ill make a sig someday
no its a Dual friction, supposedly better than a stage 2 but not as good as stage 3, i dunno stage 2.5 i guess lol but all the pics i see of them, even on the box, it has those weights and mine doesn't have them but when i look closely on the fingers it has marks like they were there so im wondering if i got ripped off. ill try to get a pic on here

if u look closely at the pressure-plate fingers u can see the marks, so i dunno if they come with it or what. and heres a pic of the clutch on their website

i had the center force , and i hated every minute of it , slipped from day 1
None of the FWD Centerforce clutches had weights. They told me it was a space issue on the FWD bell housings.
I had one on my car also. It didn't hold up. I always tell people it's not a bad clutch, but don't expect it too hold more power than the stock clutch will. I'd say it's a good "stock" replacement for a pretty much stock motor.
