Ok I was doing a search and found a How To: install by a JBO member. He had pictures and everything on installing an AEM intake. I had a few questions.
This first picture, it looks like the has the black box on top of the valve is removed,

Is that necessary to remove it? WOuld it be better? I have a cheapo ebay intake. But I am looking to upgrade to a better one. What do you think, I should get? From experience which ones do you all like?
