Let's see YOUR camaro style exhaust set ups.....
Tuesday, February 14, 2006 8:11 PM
Right now I am looking to change my exhaust to better fit my new rear bumper. What I want is pictures of your guy's camaro style muffler set ups.

ALSO, right now I have an OBX 4-1 header > 2.25" Pipe > Stock Cat > 2.25" Pipe > 6" Round muffler (4" tip)

in my NEW setup I want to run 2.25 off the header > Long Resonator > 2.25" Pipe > Camaro style muffler > two pipes > two 4" tips.....How will this sound on my car without the cat but a long resonator in its place?

SO what im looking for, PICS, and advice/comments on my new exhaust plans! THANKS ALOT!

This is simular to what I want BTW...

What do you want me to search for? Camaro style exhaust (NO RELATED POSTS)? Dual exhaust muffler (NO RELATED POSTS)? Or should I Search Dual exhaust and search for 4 hours through unrelated posts about RKsport dual exhaust, Borla exhaust. Why couldnt you just save your minute that it took to post "SEARCH" and use it to quickly link me to this post you saw or help me out a little bit? You are very helpful!

Thank you, I appriciate it. Nice pics in there, exactly what I was looking for but it still doesnt have any answers to my questions about not having a cat and if it would perform better with one and also if it will sound better with one. I'm also having trouble finding a camaro style muffler that has a 2.25" inlet and 2 outlets.....If anyone wants to be so generous and help me out with some part numbers for..

Stainless steel cat 2.25 inlet/outlet
Stainless steel resonator (long)
Stainless steel camaro style muffler (2.25" inlet/ with 2 outlets)

IF magnaflow has all of these parts that would be BEST but I dont want any cheap stuff. I have ENOUGH money to spend on this.

keep the cat

Get a high flow cat. dont run no cat as the cat is meant to clean your exhaust fumes and by not having one you could shoot black smoke.....not to mention, not having one is not going to gain you much if anything at all.......

besides a high flow can is not expensive, especially compared to a nicely done set up like that.

Without a cat, you will throw cell codes. A high flow cat is definately worth the $75.00 they charge for one. Get a cat.

Its not going to make any more power but it should sound better. I would keep the cat also.

It's just going to make it louder and polute more. He may gain a tiny tiny bit of power from it but it isn't worth the side affects. Boosted cars normaly make a good bit of power when this is done because of the increase in flow a decrease in restriction and N/A doesn't.

^^ thats a given, even with a high flow cat on a boosted car its not that much of a restriction if any.i'd prolly keep the cat like everyone said going n/a

False? Cats are a huge restriction on boosted cars. Even "high flow" ones

Blew it up

yeah i've heard both stories and care less, but honestly i don't run a cat on any car i have, and prolly never will until they do emission testing here in michigan. on my boosted cars its strickly straight piped, no cat or muffler. the turbo itself is a muffler
