Hey yea i no im not a newb but i wanna no what size resonator would be good because my exhaust backfires alot and is reallly raspy when i get the mood to wynd out 1st but dont want the raspiness...would a nice size resonator stop the raspyness? and the backfire?
thank you
I would say 14-22 inches would be good.
would that stop the backfire and raspiness? and what brand?
It will quiet down the raspiness, but I don't know about the backfire, I still have backfire with an 18" resonator, but I don't care about it..
where can i order one and what size and brand is urs cause i want all the raspyness gone
Mine is a Vibrant, I can't really tell you if you'll be happy with it. I love how my car sound right now, but I don't know how it will come out on yours. Some people try to fit the longest resonator possible. Maybe someone else will be able to help you more!!!
I have a magnaflow 22", 4" round muffler as a resonator. The car NEVER gets raspy, even when its just started. Popping you can't avoid with the ecotecs, not sure about the other years - but I mean even my stock popped when you were reving at idle.
do u have a link of the magnaflow resonator? i kinda wanna get it =P
i just ordered the single exhaust from magnaflow, i need to find a resonator also. would a 22" fit on the catback?
Yup, you'll need to cut up the pipes obviously though.
i just bought a thrush one today its 25 inches long tho its the only size they had would it still fit?
The 25" dynomax thrush will fit with no problems. I have it and love and mine does still pop. I would want to hear my car without it.
