I would say 14-22 inches would be good.

It will quiet down the raspiness, but I don't know about the backfire, I still have backfire with an 18" resonator, but I don't care about it..

Mine is a Vibrant, I can't really tell you if you'll be happy with it. I love how my car sound right now, but I don't know how it will come out on yours. Some people try to fit the longest resonator possible. Maybe someone else will be able to help you more!!!

I have a magnaflow 22", 4" round muffler as a resonator. The car NEVER gets raspy, even when its just started. Popping you can't avoid with the ecotecs, not sure about the other years - but I mean even my stock popped when you were reving at idle.

Yup, you'll need to cut up the pipes obviously though.

The 25" dynomax thrush will fit with no problems. I have it and love and mine does still pop. I would want to hear my car without it.
