So heres the situation. I was helping my older brother out by letting him borrow my car for a few hours. When he was backing out of my driveway he was going way to fast and badly messed up the muffler on my Megan Racing system. He is going to help me pay to replace it. I just can't decide if I want a Borla or a Magnaflow muffler. I'm planning on an oval muffler and a nice tip so I can get it tucked up nicely. Borla or Magnaflow... which one would you pick?
BTW, the driveways in my area are at a weird angle where the meet the street and thats why my muffler got f-ed up so bad.
I'd say go with a magnaflow oval exhaust 5x8 or 5x9 thats at least 14" long and get a tip of your choice, that way you can tuck the muffler up under your car and still have a nice looking tip. This will definitely help if you have a steep driveway. Round muffler + steep hill = bad, that is depending on how you have your exhaust set up and how far it is off the ground.

Both are nice, borlas are a tad louder than magnaflows, but they have a slightly better sound (In my opinion! and dont say im biased because I just got my magnaflow setup and I love it

You'll see that borla only offers 14" long mufflers, that why theyre a bit louder. I would reccommend either, but base your decision on how loud you want your car to be.
well having a borla and magnaflow , the borla 1sounds a bit better
but im compairing a 2" to a 2 1/4" with 2 3/4" outlet
the magnaflow XL thats on a friends cav sounds alot better than my magnaflow
Well guys, I've decided on a Borla Turbo XL muffler and Borla tip. The muffler i'm picking up is a 4x9 oval and the body length is 19", which i'm guessing is why its the XL model, considering the normal Borla Turbo mufflers are only 13-14" long. I'm getting it installed Saturday morning, so I'll let you guys know how it sounds and maybe get some pics.
Nice choice, I am biased because I have te Borla catback, but I think you made the best choice.
i got a question is the pacesetter catback system is good????
why would you get that size lol......those are for larger v8 motors and up.

do you have them with a 2 1/2 inlet, because my can muffler is SUPER raspy and i have 20 inch resonator ...

Right now i have the magnaflow duel system and not only does it look good but it sounds and flows real nice.I never had borla but i herd it was real nice also. But if i were to do another exhaust system i would do magnaflow again.
Eric, now it sounds exactly like the Borla system I sold you, just a tad louder and deeper. The guys at the exhaust shop were pretty impressed with how it sounded and looked on my car. Overall I would say it was a major improvement over the canister that came with the system.
