setup questions???

aight so I'm about to get a loan so i can dumb in my car...and i think i have a pretty good idea of the things i need to get to get what i want.(if that came out right)

neway ive decided to go with the supercharger route and i notice alot of you guys here are happy with the GM S/C so my questions are this.

I plan on going with the 9:1 CR pistons which come with the rods and rings and all that good stuff so i can raise the boost. Can/should I use the "secret cam swap" or is there something else that you guys recommend? also naturally i would want to get more aif flow and fuel so i was gonna get the Intake manifold off the 2.3 HO since the aftermarket ones are so expensive and this one is bigger than stock. Will it fit with the S/C and what throttle body should i go with?

I'll be honest i know nothing about fuel injectors so any help will be useful here..
and the pistons have a .02" bore (im pretty sure) so what size valves would be sufficient? I think that about covers it... if I left anything out that you guys think i should have or that i need PLEASE let me know and hold the flames if any... i was just asking so i can start pricing so i know how much to borrow... THANX A MILLION!

...are you trolls that dumb that you cant realize mid 15s is slower then 14s?

o i forgot.... i plan on taking the A/C out because i dont use it at all...is there a smaller belt that i should get or would it be easier just to leave it in? i know it doesnt take that much power leaving it in but i figured it might help out with space..

Well thats all fine and good, but I dont suggest getting a loan to buy upgrades for your car. Unless of course you need a new engine or something to that effect. Thats just my humble opinion.

The S/C has its own manifold, so the 2.3 manifold won't do anything for you.

DO NOT finance mods, if you can even get a bank to give you loans for them. There is no reason to borrow and ruin your credit for something you can easily save for and do gradually. You need a LOT more research before your ready to do high hp mods to your car from reading your post.

true true....i see where your coming from, but i have priced alot of those parts before and i think it will all cost under 10K...so i should be able to pay that back fairly quickly...but no disrespect intended at all i wasnt really askin about the loan...

Start reading the FAQ's...

BTW, I have $10k or so in loans, costing me $300 a month for 6 years, I couldn't imagine doing that with mods, I did all my mods (body kit, paint, hood, interior, $4000 turbo kit, nitrous on my old car, old body kit, etc) all by saving a couple bucks...

well i already got money saved...the loan is just to give me that extra i need so im not sitting around looking at my parts and having that "cant wait to get them in" feeling... and i did read the FAQ's that is where i got most of my information on what i posted. i was just wondering on fuel injectors, valves, and if the HO mani. would fit with the S/C, and if there was anything else that i should get or if i was missing something

There is a whole FAQ, in the boost forum, called the "New boost FAQ" that shows how to size your injectors. As I stated above, the HO manifold will NOT work with the S/C.

The reason i say you need more research is this:

Bigger valves mean you are going to do head work, port & polish, plus lower compression. The S/C wont' support more than 10-12 PSI before the charge air gets so hot that it robs more power than it makes. With a P&P, the S/C will make less boost, combined with lower compression, bigger valves, you are going to be disappointed with how much money you spend and what you get in return.

You still aren't reading what I'm writing, look at my first post about the manifold....

The S/C has its OWN manifold, it comes with it, and is the ONLY thing you can use with the S/C.
