Hi.

Does anyone know the difference between the euro spec ecotec and the us ecotec engines? If there are no differences where can I buy tuning parts? I'm desperately trying to find an ecu hack, witch allow me to map the original pcm. A plug in ecu would also be nice

What kind of power can I produce with FI on a standard head (with and without upgraded internals)?

I’ll be thankful for all help.

currently there is no ECU upgrade/ship....not yet anyway. you cna have your ECU reflased for boost purposes but having it done on a N/A motor wont help much.

Two completely different engines. I think all they share is the name.

Semper Fi SAINT. May you rest in peace.

The 1.6/1.8L and V6 ECOTECs have nothing to do with the US spec ECOTEC.

The 2.0 turbo/supercharged and 2.2 N/A maybe the same.

Somewhere in here it was discussed which parts work on both at some point.

I know the US desgintation is L 61 and the european may have been L 86 but I am not sure if that is correct (the L 86).

Anyway pics would be cool and welcome.
