Do you have a resonator after the cat? Mine used to sound pingy and raspy when I was N/A without a resonator.

ah i'm using a glasspack as a resonator....i mean i'm okay with the noise just sorta gets annoying when ya can hear it at times....

It might be the glasspack, they tend to crackle alot, due to the fiberglass core cracking inside from hot/cold/hot/cold situations.

mine made a bunch of noise when i first had it put in. It would tick and stuff like that after driving. I do remember when i was coming home one night i was doing about 80 down the freeway for about 15 mins and when i got home i heard really loud ticking so i looked under my car my cat was glowing. but since its been fully broken in i havent had any odd noises other then my exhaust clunkin once in a while cause i dont have a joint in my exhaust.
