Hello i need some comments or opinions about this two types of cat backs.. i have hear a lot and i still cant decide which one to put to my car.(i need to put a new catback asap it sounds like s**t after i put the the high flow catalytic)
Which one is better the Mega racing catback or the magnaflow??? dont worry about the price because i know them
i just need some opinions which one is better for a N/A.
thank you all comments welcome
I have heard both and you may need to get a resonator wth both. I have custom 2.5" muffler like you with Dynomax and two resonators on my car and it is not straight through like those you mentioned.

Magnaflow is 2.25"
Megan is 2.5"
For boost, Megan... for NA stick with Magnaflow.
PS, after hearing both, the Magnaflow sounds better imo.
The Megan system is 2.25". I know, I have the system on my car and I measured the tubing throughout the system. I would go with the Megan since it is about half the price of the Magnaflow system, sounds better, and is made with better stainless tubing than the Magnaflow. I'll take T304 stainless over T409 stainless anyday. Just add a small resonator to the Megan system and your set.
what kind of muffler does the Megan come with???
round, oval?? (i have seen most people have the round one it can be change???
how big it is outlet???
do i will look good on a 97 z24 because the newer z24 has the lip mine doesnt so how it will look pointing down?
and i also forgot i would like to know which one is quiter, but with a good sound not loud and not annoying! please, a deep tone smooth,
thank you
The Megan system comes with a 5 or 6 inch round canister muffler, and the tip is 4.5" The sound is very deep and agressive, and a bit on the loud side without being raspy or buzzy. I have an 18" resonator on mine and it quieted it down substantially. I recently cut off the muffler and replaced it with a Borla oval muffler because it got damaged. IMO, the Magnaflow system is just not worth the almost $600 that it costs.
I have the Magnaflow (dual cat-back) and I like it a lot, it's kinda loud but not too bad, and I don't have a resonator. I'm happy with it, even considering the price.
I just ordered my Mangnaflow single cat back system. hi flow cat and a glaspack, Should get monday and i let ya know.
Also bought injen intake and cermic headers, so i wonder hwo it will all sound.
if your looking for magnaflow, look at the RKsoprt catback. The RKsport one is made by magnaflow, it just doesnt have a resonator. Plus, RKsport is only $300, IMO $600 is way too much to pay for an exhaust.
Ill make a sig someday
Just go custom nothing is wrong with custom. Then you get what you want for a lower price. I got my header, highflow cat and custom 2.5" all installed for $100.
Sounds is relative. i personally don't like how the Rksport set up sounds need a resonator real bad. Set ups made by most othe companies come with a resonaotor. Super Street and Sport Compact both did write ups on exhaust recommending a resonator.
I will say the set up magnaflow sells sounds a little better not sure if it is the mufflers but those muffler on that set up look better than the RK but that is personal opinion.

Opps, you're right. The megan is 2.25" Every shop I call in Winnipeg is wanting afew hundred dollars to make a exhaust for my car... so the Megan would be alot cheaper. Im gonna look into it, and see what other types of mufflers and resonators would fit with the piping under my cav.
