My fuel pump just took a crap on me a few days ago.
I was wondering if anyone has used any high flow fuel pumps and what brands/part numbers I should go with?
I have a custom SC on the way and a few other engine mods for my 03 Eco.
Instead of paying $250+ for a OEM replacement fuel pump I am looking for an adjustable one, anyone have any ideas?
I have used different out of tank pumps in the past, JEGS, HOLLEY, and MSI, and I may go this route with this car as well, anyone do this yet and had good luck?
No offense but, your post is no help...
I have used several inline pumps on different vehicles, I was wondering if anyone has used an inline pump/regulator on an Ecotec.
I'll break it down a touch further...
I will be replacing the fuel tank in the near future with a fuel cell, for the time being I was thinking of adding a inline pump or underhood pump instead of dropping the tank and replacing the intank pump when I will be ditching that setup anyway.
I was thinking of using a toggle switch for the inline pump(safety precaution and antitheft), but I could also use the existing wiring from the stock pump.
Has anyone done this, if so what did you use and how did you wire it up?
On my other 03 Cavalier I rewired the whole car, a fuel cell, reran all lines(fuel and brake), I used a toggle switch wired in after the ignition switch, but it doesn't have the same engine in it.

Well I've never actually heard of an adjustable fuel pump (intank or inline).
If you're looking for an inline fuel pump, check out MSD or Walbro for one.
Now my suggestion is replace the intank fuel pump. If it really did take a crap on you, I think putting an inline on would be "band-aiding" the real problem.

Yes, you are right Adam, but I will be removing the tank sometime before Summer ends and going with a inline pump.
So I am basically repairing with future mods in mind.
I ordered a Zex booster pump and a MSD primary pump from JEGS yesterday, I'll post some pics and results.
I think the intank design is retarded in the first place.
