Hey guys, im looking to get a 2.3HO and take some time to build it up nicely, but I don't like the 5 speed ratio's at all, their great for drivin around, and a good drag race but if I spend the time and momney on the 2.3 I want a tranny that will perform as good as the motor. so my question is: are their any 5 or 6 speed transmissions that will bolt up, or work with the 2.3 HO? Like I said somthing with a little more split in the ratios would be nice, but if there is anything that would better my 1/4 time i'd liek to know about that too.

what you want is the the 5 speed getrag 282 that came with the HOs from 93-94(some 92s)
itll have the 3.94 FDR 2 tranny mounts and an internal slave..GREAT tranny and there is even an LSD for it ( some of them came with one if you get lucky)
what cars did this come in? the berettas id guess? what else?
