engine wont engage WOT

hey i got my fully rebuilt engine back today and it runs like a charm at idle but when i took it up the road (2 miles or so) it ran perfect but tried to die on me, no this isnt the same problem that alotta gm reflash cars have cause i had it before and now it dont die at idle but WOT (wide open throttle) wont engage what so ever, you can accelerate yeah but if you smash the gas you will hear the charger whine up like your half throttle'n it and it wont rev past 3,000 rpm's it seems.

i unplugged the IAC sensor while the car was idling and it didnt change the way it idled at all or anything and shouldnt it? i also unplugged the battery several times and still the same results. theres a check engine light but its been on cause i really rich in my air fuel. any tips guys?

Can you slowly reach more then 3000 rpm? I think that the iat does not make too much of a difference that you could notice in trying to diagnose the problem. Try to fix the rich issue. That may be contributing a bit to it.

well guys heres a video of the problem, this whole time i had the throttle 100% mashed. the quality sucks but it gets the point across.

couple friends told me that it might be in limp mode and to unplug the computer for 10 mins or so and see if that helps it and also clear the CEL.

It's actually 15 minutes. That will clear the CEL for the time being but if there is really a problem, it will just pop up again or as soon as you start to drive your car.

You checked everything on your supercharger? Belt loose or anything?

If not, by looking at the video, you are defenitley in limp mode. The same thing happend to me when my SAFC wires were coming loose off the computer, wouldn't let me rev higher than 3,000 RPMs and would bog like crazy.

Are you able to gradually rev higher than 3,000 though?

Also, get your codes scanned again. You might have a new code on there to explain why it's doing what it's doing.
