bought the pacesetter exhaust a long time ago before i knew anything. yeah i know it was a bad choice, i hate the sound it makes along with finding out that they rust i decided to to swap it. was gonna go with a borla muffler. good or bad?
Borla is the best IMO. I have the larger turbo xl model on my car, and I love the tone and how quiet it is for being a straight-through muffler. I've had magnaflow, flowmaster, and dynomax and they juat don't have the same tone and sound level as the Borla does.
i want to go with the borla wailtail. 5" tip yeah i know its big but i think it would look good.
With the right rear bumper the 5" tip will look good. A little too big IMO, but to each his own. I don't have much room to talk considering I have a 4" tip and a stock bumper.
Here is my 2.25" pacesetter cat back... my muffler that came with that looked a bit rusty, but the pipes aren't... but I added a 24" dynomax resonator and Borla Pro XS muffler with an intercooled tip a while after I got it... pretty quiet, deeper when it should be...
Exhaust
sounded pretty nice from what i could tell. thanks for the video clip
FROM MY EXPERIANCE WITH BORLA>>>> There mufflers are crap..i was at the track one night and and i blew mine completely apart....i blew it into to pieces shifting to second gear..do not go with those styles of mufflers..there quality sucks..

ELIOT. Now.....boosted.
40664 is the part number for the muffler I am using. Its not cheap though, it cost me almost $200.
I have a 4.5" tip and I think it looks great got alot of compliments. everyone thought it would be big under there but it tucks pretty well in the 00-02 bumper
