I bought an AEM cold-air from a guy second-hand pretty cheap... unfortunately, the filter was pretty dirty and banged-up. I'd like to just buy a new one instead of trying to fix the metal screen and wash it up (it's pretty bad). Anyone know the best (and cheapest) place to get a good washable filter for my intake?
I thought about ordering one of the new AEM dryflow filters but they're $50-$60 shipped... I was also thinking of just buying a Pep-Boys filter... any suggestions?
about any parts store ebay i would go k & n though
id get the new aem dry flow filter, I love mine over my old k&n
The APC filters seem to work okay if you're in a pinch. I had one for a while and I didn't notice much difference between it and a K&N, which I have now. But I have no idea what you'd use to clean it. There's a film of oil on it but if it's the same stuff K&N uses I have no idea.
where'd you buy the dry flow, Phlatcav? how much did you pay for it? I just feel like $60 is a bit much for a friggin' air filter...
well i have a aem on my intake and i love it.....k&n was nice but it was allways mucky..this one seems to flow better..phil
well... thanx for the ideas, guys... I found it at www.turbotechracing.com for $55 shipped. Now when that arrives, I'll have no excuse not to fix that fender lining...
In stock and is shipping out today
