do filters for a short ram intake really make a difference? can dropping big money on a k/n filter be worth it over a generic?
what about those big ass foam looking intakes?
currently just rocking a generic similar to this:
and finally, now often do you oil your filters?
i clean and oil when dirty
Genirics are fine, there is no reason to waste money cause of name brand. I tried K&N and got better results with a top flight filter instead, and the topflight was $30 cheaper.
what does the oil do cuz my genaric didn't come w/ any oil?

The type of filter you get can be more or less restrictive depending on what kind of filter it is. Your typical cone filters usually filter the same amount and give enough breathing room along with it.

Some don't use oil, and I'm not sure if its true but I've heard it can cause problems with the iat sensor getting dirty. For an oiless air filter get one for a '90 prelude si cause its a round style filter with a 3" opening and cost less than $10. Here's a pic for ya.
