Clevite Conventional Hydraulic Lifters
Lifter, Hydraulic Flat Tappet, Buick/ Chevy/ Oldsmobile/ Pontiac, Each
if it's listed for Buick and Olds, those are likely the 2.3L Quad 4 lifters, which are 2mm larger in diameter than the 2.4L. I don't remember what the dimensions are though... can't recall.
You could theoretically bore the cam carriers for the larger bore lifters.... but why bother?
I re-used my old lifters when I changed cams. No problems yet. If I was going to replace them, I would have just used regular GM lifters meant for the 2.4L.
john the 2.4 was in all those cars
just make sure the lifters are for the 96-02 and you would be ok
and i looked at the application chart and it shows to be for the 2.4
33mm in the 2.4, 35mm in the 2.3
HP Tuners | Garrett T3/T04B | 2.5" Charge Pipes | 2.5" Downpipe | 650 Injectors | HO Manifold | Addco front/rear | Motor Mounts | HKS SSQV | Spec stage 3 | AEM UEGO Wideband | Team Green LSD | FMIC | 2.3 cams | 2.3 oil pump swap | 280WHP | Now ECOTECED
My bad...
Buick? I can't think what car had the 2.4L
Olds Alero? I guess...
Pontiac Grand Am, Sunfire...
