HO Alternator with smaller pulley QUESTIONS

Due to charging problems (check engine light, stereo sometimes shuts off, even while cruising), I'm upgrading my alternator and battery and cables. Dom Iraggi builds a 200A (100A at/near idle) alternator that's a direct bolt-on for my 03 Cav. The only thing I'm not crazy about is that the alternator comes with a slightly SMALLER pulley. (He claims the tensioner will easily take up the slack in the belt.) I'm hesitant to buy it cause I don't want to lose any power.

My questions are:

Will the smalle alternator pulley AUTOMATICALLY mean a power loss to the wheels? (I think yes)

I'm thinking of getting RSM's lightened, stock-sized crank pulley to help gain some of that power back. Anybody out there have good reviews on this pulley? Know of a different one that's in stock? (It's the only one I can find so far.)

If anybody knows of an underdrive crank pulley for the EcoTec, let me know - maybe I just haven't looked hard enough. I don't think I would go this route because I wouldn't want to mess up the new alternator, but with 100A at idle available, I might consider doing it.

Thanks.

youll loose his rated output at idle if you change the pulley size

^^ I know I'll have less current if I go with a smaller crank pulley. I meant that with 100A available, I can probably afford it.

It's still a question in my mind because I don't know if doing that would hurt the alternator.
