Stock AC Delco plugs work fine unless you have boost.
And it shouldnt hurt your pocket at all , or what if you have sweat pants on?
For the wires, the stocks should be good to, but if you really want to upgrade, try maybe Accel wires.
Well I have the Accel Thundersports 300+ spark plug wires ($30), and the Nology Silverstone spark plugs ($32) for all four , they seem to make a difference in performance; i also replaced my ignition coils with the MSD Blaster 8224's....
the "performance" you got is either from restore performance your the Placebo effect. You bought something that doesn't increase power but you think it did.
Wires and plugs don't had power.

I never realized how great ac delco plugs were until i replaced them with bosch..some like bosch, most will tell you not to do it. from my experience, don't do it.
ive got autolite double platinums, i felt no difference. i work for pepboys, i always reccomend the delco or the delco rapidfire for GM vehicles, since that was what went in stock. bosch plat, plat 2's and plat 4's are big sellers too...
but for a performance plug, denso iridium and NGK iridiums are where its at...but pricey. accell wires from gravana @ 40 bucks are gonna be the cheapest you can find...its the cheapest i found...and i work at pep boys part time. (second job)
