Can anyone take the time to find me a good/cheap ebay intake that has the hole for the IAT sensor or explain to me what I need to look for not to get scammed over ebay on a intake that wont fit with a front strut bar/under the hood/ or has no IAT sensor thing.

intake is an intake, i spent 200 dollars on the secret weapon intake and it did nothing for me. i think theres some forums around here of people talking about building custom intakes. if you feel like you should spend money, RK SPORTS WAI intake was great when i had it. and im sure it had an iat hole.

well if u look at my profile i have an intake i made from one i bought from ebay wich was for a z24 but tweeked it here and there to make it work for my ecotec. it works well and actually sounds good but i am replacing it with the K&N typhoon for alittle cleaner look and since i have the extra money being out here in iraq. but if u look at it it might give u a direction to go in.

Dynasty auto on ebay has the 2.4 Quad 4 with the mounting brackets and hole for IAT. I'm betting they have one for your car as well.

Seriously... I don't like to go off on people, but *cracks his knuckles* here we go...

There's this wonderful tool that eBAY has called a PRODUCT SEARCH. Type in the words "Cavalier" and "intake", adn if you feel really ambitious, enter what motor you have (2.2, 2.4, whatever), and hit SEARCH. Hundreds of intakes will magically appear on your screen. Use the mouse to select one you want, and follow the order and payment instructions. Wait about ten days, install the intake using simple hand tools and a little common sense, and enjoy.

just remove the stock airbox.. put a cone filter on it

it will fit
you will have a nice deep sound
plus a rubber hose will always be more "cold" then aluminum

You only forgot the part about registering, and choosing a user ID that isn't already being used. But other than that you had it covered...except for the concern the person had about whether or not the intake would fit if they had a front strut bar.
