Well I currently have on my car a Weapon-R header with 2.25" piping for the entire system. Also I have a 18" Magnaflow resonator and a Magnaflow Cat and exits with 2 Oval Magnaflow mufflers.
Well I just recently added the header. Before it was deep and had ZERO buzzing. Now I hear one of the mufflers, passanger side making the rice no resonator buzzing sound while the other sounds great. I'm unsure what to do? Install a resonator between the Y-pipe for the duals and the buzzing muffler? Wouldn't that just be another restriction or slow things down?
Help....
It probably has something to do with the header. I've never heard of a dual exhaust doing that before. You'd think it would be the driver side muffler making the buzzing, since it sees more flow than the one on the passenger side. Maybe a small resonator would do the trick, and as long as it is a perforated-core resonator, it won't have any restriction on the exhaust.
Any more suggestions or ideas?
Sounds like the sounds waves are bouncing of each other inside the exhaust system. What angle is the y-pipe at...ei. 60-45-90? That might also be causing the problem with the added flow.
I changed my muffler after I added my header because of this same phenomina. Sounded great before, and then sounded like bee's were having fights with b.b's in a steel jar. After I changed the muffler to different design it sounded a hell of a lot better.

i have the same problem with my magnaflow duels on an ecotec. im getting diff mufflers for one. I noticed the inside of the magnaflows is very small in diamiter.
are the cuts in the exhaust flush? as in no piece of metal sticking into the exhaust flow?
