i have a 95 2.3LO can i put ho or w41 cams in my engine if so what would i have to do and would it be worth it

Sorry for the off topic post but which cams would be better on a turbo 2.4L (LD9)? I will be running 8-10 psi until i can afford a full rebuild. Sorry if this is to vauge.

Well you have a different steering pump setup then the older quad 4s, so you would need to change back to that, or mod the intake came to work with the newer style power steering pump. After that i dont know much, but i know someone how put the W41 cams in a 1990 LD2. Althought he seemed to slow down at the track. My guess is that the stock rev limiter doesnt allow you to use the full potential of the W41 cams.

If you have a manual, it's possible to use the Ho cams and W41 cams without changing the chip. You don't get the full power tough.
If you have an automatic, you'll have to bring the intake cam to a machine shop to get a lobe done for the cam position sensor.

i have a manual ok so i need to mod for power steering pump and put a ho chip in is that all.can i take the govern/rev limiter out?
that answer comes at the other forum...but in a word it will increase your rev limiter to 7400 with the W41 setup and 7200 with the HO setup. The Mantapart chip also allows you to use the added RPM limits in all gears
Also, mantapart sells a modded cam for use in the 95 cam tower and for the 95+ P/S unit.
Problem is, actually getting the parts in a timely fashion, or talking to them. I lucked out, I went to meet them in person, so they couldn't avoid me.
