bad news first. Every since I blew up my turbo motor, I've been running loud and raspy muffler from magnaflow because it was cheap and I bought it thinking it would sound good. I was wrong
Nest bad news. I got pulled over today because the cops decided to increase their enforcement on noise I guess.
Finally the good news. I am going to get a new exhaust sytem. But I can't decide what. I got a secret that the cops don't know, I don't have a cat. and as far as I know its not illegal. So I am going to continue without one. I would like to hear some ideas as to what sounds good. I love the look of dual, but need to know how it sounds. I know I should search but I didn't find anything very recent and most of those with exhaust still have a cat. So I'd like some fresh opinions. Any help is much apreciated.
running with no cat can actually hurt your cars performance.
i have a pacestter header, high flo cat, resonator, and thermal exhaust system. my car sound good i think.
but whatever you decide on, a resonator will help with sound/raspy part

No turbo right now, I'm building up a motor for it. I was gonna get a cat but couldn't afford it after buyin a new motor. Now I got some more money, and I'm thinking about getting some duals, do any of them include cats? thanks for the help so far.
i'd say right now don't do anything with the exhaust and save your money for the whole exhaust system when you finally get the new turbo so you can match the downpipe to the turbo and so that you could go with a bigger system it would suck spending a lot of money on an exhaust system then not have a chance to use it cuz its too small... i know stock turbo cars (i.e. eclipses) run 2.25" full exhaust... and 3" aftermarket

Yeah nothing major, it's just a federal law. Its legal until you get caught.

Well from the sources I've spoken with, including a couple local officers, it isn't illegal to not have a cat on a car in the state of wyoming. I know its supposed to be a federal thing but I dont know, I guess maybe state could override it. But there are no emissions laws in the state of wyoming so I believe that was their justification.
