Ok, I have been thinking about getting engine mounts for awhile. They only cost like $60. But some people have told me that the vibrations they cause are horrible. Now that is coming from non Cavy owners. I have only heard of slight vibes being caused by engine mounts from actual Cavy owners. Which I think would be kinda cool, to be sitting there with your hand on the wheel and you can feel the engine rumbling. So I dont think I would mind vibes if they werent to bad. So I was wondering if I should go ahead and get some mounts. I was planning on getting lower and upper mounts. And I would probably take it somewhere to get it put in, cause I neither have the experience or time to do it myself. So can someone tell me how the car feels with mounts in??
(i tried search, it wasnt working)
they are definently worth it if you like performance. Me and renegade cav have them and our cars feel a lot less sloppy with them. they seem to heighten the effect of every mod that we do.

They give somewhat better engine response. If you are at all worried about how much it will vibrate, I would suggest that you ride in someone's car that has mounts installed.
There has been more than one person on here that installed the mounts and didn't like how much the car vibrated around the engine. Personally, I didn't think it was that bad when I had my Cav.

vibration vary from car to car some are worse than others. Auto tend to vibrate more. Had the old mounts Vibrated the hell our to my car. Changed to the mounts that Mark Pain did for a while that came with softer bushings. Then i did the one Karo had and no issues. Must be that first set of mounts that had some hard bushings.

i have a 2200 with an auto tranie. i find that the vibrations not that bad. what i don't like is that the dash vibrates a lot. i mean every vent rattles and the gauge cluster rattles at a different rpm. the door handles resonate at a different rpm. the rearview mirror rattles so much that it came off after a long trip. but i do like the response that they gave the engine. i jumped into a feinds car that has the same engine and tranie, and my car was much better in its response. things will rattle in your car, but it will preform better.
the vibes vary from car to car. the vibes tend to get bad on cold days, but mellow out when the car warms up

Im a Xbox 360 fanboy...and damn proud of it!!
honestly how much could a cav engine shake ur car so much that it is unbearable.
i think they are worth it.
it has somewhat to do with how in balance the engine is too. i have an auto and i got them installed and it was worth every penny of it. i have almost no vibrations at all.
