i am going to be buying the DC sport header from turbotech racing here in the next few weeks, and im wondering a few things:
1) does the dc header have the hole for the upper 02 sensor near the engine in 1 of the exhaust tubes in the header, so that my stock o2 sensor can plug right in?
2) since the DC sport header bolts up and replaces the cat, im assumming i will need a lower o2 simulator so i dont get a CEL. where can i get an o2 sensor?
3) and is the hole already in the dc header's downpipe for the lower o2 sensor, or do i need to take it to an exhaust shop and have a sensor welded in?
thanks for any help, it is apperciated!

1) Yes. Its in the second runner.
2) Only replaces the cat is you want it to. They provide a flange you can weld to the downpipe to keep your cat.
3) Is you DONT keep your cat. Then YES the cat-eliminator pipe has the O2 sensor bung.
Take out your original one and plug it in there.

if so, where can i buy one?

if you do not have a cat you need a sim, look at casper electronics for one. personally ive never heard good stories about them, they are always faulty. Plus without a cat you will not pass emissions, and if caught there is quite a hefty fine.
Ill make a sig someday
^^^ what he said.
I have pics of the DC sports header on my computer I can email pics to you.
Just shoot me an email first so I dont forget.

i would only be running straight pipe with no cat for a few months, then when i have the money im getting a new high flow cat and catback exhaust put in.
so im thinking about just letting the CEL stay on for a while instead of getting a simulator.

I have had no CEL's with the DC Sports header and leaving stock o2 sensor on the test pipe.

How did the install go on that?
I'm gonna get another, so what difficulties did you run into?
And what tools did you use meaning did you have a shop do it or did you do it yourself?

See how I just hooked you up?
All well and good if you're running the Ecotec.
But as for the DC Sports 2.4L version compared to the Rk 4-1 design:
Also Pace vs RK
Is that truly the DC sports Ecotec header?
Is is smaller or same size as stock?

Mastin,
Install wasn't too difficult. Just have to tweek the heat shield and everything bolted up fine. Outside of the hammer, a socket set is the only set of tools I used
I did have to make a 12" extension to bolt mine up, but that is because of my catback setup

I've got the header for the 2.4, really easy to install, did stratch it in a couple places with the ratchet, but otherwise easy, I think it was harder removing the stock manifold than installing the Header.
yes that header above is the eco header , it bolts to the stock down pipe
ive had my dc header since before it came out , and i love it
im using a caspers o2 simulator , and never had a problem
97 speaks again.....wait maybe they need to post in the boost forum......lol.....or do a search..

My bad, I thought we were talking about the Eco header.
